Project Description

Part of the Japan-funded contract for the Marine Corps Relocation Project, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Pacific awarded Pacific Rim the contract to construct the J-017-II Utilities and Site Improvements Phase 2 Main and Commercial Gates project. This project includes building a new 157,000-square-foot main gate and a 180,000-square-foot commercial/tactical vehicle gate to provide installation security for the new Marine Corps Base Guam.

The main gate facilities include an entry canopy with guard booths and guard pedestals, a gatehouse, an overwatch enclosure, a utility building, a search area with a canopy, and a Visitor Control Center building with parking for privately owned vehicles (POV). The Commercial Gate facilities include a primary canopy with guard booths and guard pedestals, a pull-off POV inspection area, a gatehouse/search office, an overwatch tower, a utility building, and a parking area for security forces.
